Who handles your data

What data this site collects

• Browsing data. When you open a page, the server hosting the site automatically records some technical information: IP address, browser, requested page, date and time. It is used only to run the site and protect it from abuse, never to identify you or show you ads.
• Data you send me. If you fill in the contact form, email or call me, I use your name, contact details, the topic you choose and what you tell me only to reply and, if we work together, to prepare quotes, contracts and invoices. Form messages are collected by Netlify, the site’s hosting provider, and forwarded to my email.
• Anonymous visit statistics. To understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and where they come from, the site has its own counter running on Netlify’s servers. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not record your IP address and does not track you across other sites: it only keeps daily totals (page viewed, referring site, country and device type), which cannot identify you.

The site uses no Google Analytics or other profiling tools, shows no ads and contains no social media buttons or embedded content. Fonts are loaded directly from this site, with no connection to external services.

Cookies

This site uses no profiling, analytics or third-party cookies (the visit counter works without cookies), which is why you won’t see the usual consent banner. The only information stored on your device is the language you choose on the portfolio page (Italian or English), kept in your browser’s storage so it is remembered on your next visit. It is a technical tool needed to provide the service you asked for and, under the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines of 10 June 2021, it requires no consent. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

Why the data is used and for how long

• Browsing data: to run and secure the site, based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It stays in the hosting provider’s logs for the time set by its security rules.
• Anonymous statistics: to improve the site, based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is aggregated and identifies no one.
• Contact requests: to reply and for any pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I keep them as long as needed to handle the request. If you become a client, invoice data is kept for 10 years as required by Italian law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Who receives the data

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, United States), which also collects contact form messages and the anonymous visit totals, acting as data processor. Data is transferred to the United States with the safeguards required by the GDPR (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission). Contact data is never sold or shared, and may only be passed to my accountant for tax obligations.

The pages contain links to other sites, such as LinkedIn or clients’ websites. When you open them you leave this site and their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a readable format (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Just write to the email address above. If you believe your data is being handled improperly you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
